Submissions are invited for Poster and Video Making Contest 2023 for International Literacy Week by NCL-NCERT and ILLL. The last date of submission is September 8, 2023.

About NCL

National Education Policy, 2020 has recommended a new and well supported constituent as National Centre for Literacy (NCL) dedicated to adult education in National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). This constituent is to develop synergy with and build upon NCERT’s existing expertize in establishing outstanding curricula for literacy, numeracy, basic education, and beyond.

About ILLL

The Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL) is dedicated to the cause of those who believe that learning is neither age-bound nor classroom-bound; rather it takes place throughout life in all kinds of situations. The Institute has been striving to develop state-of-the-art infrastructure to help Delhi University’s teaching faculty, administrative staff and students in capacity building for ICT skills.

Competition Details

The true progress of our nation can only be achieved when every citizen attains a basic level of literacy including financial literacy, digital literacy and life skills, enabling them to actively contribute to their personal growth and the development of our nation as a whole. The Government of India has approved a centrally sponsored innovative scheme called Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram or New India Literacy Programme (NILP), popularly to be known as ULLAS: Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society. Tagline/Slogan of the ULLAS is “Jan Jan Saakshar” The scheme aligns with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to empower all adults aged 15 years and above who have not received proper schooling and integrate them with the mainstream society so that they can contribute more to the growth story of the country. The scheme consists of five components:

  • Foundational Literacy and Numeracy,
  • Critical Life Skills,
  • Basic Education,
  • Vocational Skills, and
  • Continuing Education.

On the occasion of International Literacy day (8th September, 2023), as a part of International Literacy day week celebration, Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL) and Cell for National Centre for Literacy (CNCL) jointly organizing the Poster and Video making competition from 2nd – 8th September, 2023.

Rules for Poster Making

  • Use A3 size white sheet.
  • Use any colours pertaining to theme only.
  • Age no bar.

Rules for Video Making

  • Video not more then 60 Second HD/4K video.
  • No obscene material or vulgarity in content & pictures in any form.
  • No copying of any other video.
  • Age no bar.

Prizes

Individual trophy, certificate upto 3rd place. Certificate will be given to all valid entries.
