Course Details

This is a practice-based online course that will help teachers develop both a critical awareness and a deeper understanding of the role of technology in teaching and learning, provide hands on experience of designing lesson integrating technology in curriculum and pedagogy for students to improve understanding of subjects and develop higher order thinking skills. The course will also explore distance technologies and various pedagogies for active and collaborative learning. The course content can be availed in both English and Hindi.

Course Objectives

• Understand and appreciate constructivist approaches to learning, and the role of technology in constructing meaningful learning experiences for the students.
• Explore various technology applications; and critically evaluate their use and its role in meaningful learning.
• Create lessons and activities integrating technology to create an active learning environment for students.
• Explore distance technologies for blended online teaching and learning.

Who can do this course?

Teachers and educators associated with and teaching primary, middle and secondary level students and having access to at least 5-10 students can undertake this course.

• A computer/smart phone with internet access to complete and attempt activities.
