E-Cell of IIT Bombay is organizing the Eureka Junior 2023 Competition, a Business Plan Competition for class 6 to 12 students.

About the Competition

Eureka! Junior provides the perfect platform for young inquisitive minds to solve normal problems in the most innovative and creative way possible. Starting off with teaching you the very basics of entrepreneurship, polishing your creative ideas, drafting your Business Plan, and pitching in front of a panel of esteemed judges, this platform has everything!

Vision

The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination and innovation. Eureka! Junior envisions polishing students’ creative ideas, calling out their imagination skills, and providing them with the knowledge and guidance to create a business plan. Here, they teach them to present themselves with great panache, an essential life skill.

Eligibility Criteria

Any student from Classes 6-12 can participate. Eureka! Junior is divided into two tracks – Classes 6 to 8 and Classes 9 to 12 and only students from those classes can participate in the specific tracks.

Important Dates

Eureka! Junior Launch: July 24, 2023
Eureka! Jr. Registration Deadline: September 25, 2023
Compulsory tasks Begin: September 10, 2023
Compulsory tasks Ends: October 15, 2023
Finalists Declaration: November 6, 2023
Entrepreneurship Bootcamp: December 1-3, 2023
Mentoring: December 5-January 15, 2023
Final Submission: January 16, 2023
Practice Pitching: January 27 & 28, 2023

Registration Guidelines

Preliminary Workshop: Free online and offline workshops covering the basics of Entrepreneurship, Idea Generation and Idea Validation.
Registration: Click on the Register button and use a valid email id to sign up.
After registration, students have to compulsorily attempt the quiz to start their journey in this competition.
The student has to complete the two-month skill-building program to advance to the next phase.
Entrepreneurship Bootcamp: Top students will have the opportunity to attend the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp offline on the IIT Bombay campus.
Mentoring: Students will be allotted mentors to help improve their ideas
Finals: The Finals will be conducted where students are required to pitch their startup idea in front of a panel of esteemed judges.

Rules

The participants can form a team with a maximum of 3 members.
All the team members have to register individually to participate in the competition.
The participants must be from Classes 6-12. There are 2 tracks of Classes 6-8 and 9-12.
Any team from the track for Classes 6-8 must have all team members only from Classes 6-8. The same rule applies to the other track as well.
Previous winners are not allowed to participate again this year.
The Prize Money Distribution will be subject to E-Cell IIT Bombay.
