MyGov is a citizen engagement platform launched by the Government of India on July 26, 2014, to promote the active participation of Indian citizens in their country’s governance and development. It is aimed at creating a common platform for Indian citizens to crowdsource governance ideas from citizens.

About the Opportunity

NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in association with MyGov India, is excited to announce the #SmileForShoonya Challenge, a selfie competition that reflects zero pollution mobility. They invite participants to capture selfies that reflect the essence of sustainable transportation, electric vehicles, and their associated benefits.

MyGov in collaboration with NITI Aayog is hosting #SmileForShoonya – A Selfie Competition for Shoonya – Zero Pollution Mobility Campaign.

Selection Criteria

Reflect a clear message on zero pollution mobility, electric vehicles, and their benefits, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission mitigation.

Incorporate elements relevant to the Shoonya campaign, including last-mile deliveries, ride-hailing, or even sustainable mobility in general – focusing on electric cycles, electric two-wheelers, electric three-wheelers, and electric four-wheelers, or even electric cargo vehicles

Each entry must follow the rules below:

Only high-quality selfies (photos) with a maximum size of 5 MB and a caption for the selfie (not exceeding 15 words) would be accepted.

Selfies can be taken in either landscape or portrait orientation.

Selfies will be judged based on creativity, innovation, visual appeal, and relevance to the campaign’s message.

Participants are encouraged to share their entries on social media channels, tag @Shoonya_India, and use the hashtag #SmileForShoonya.

Prizes

1st Prize: Rs. 5,000/-

2nd Prize: Rs. 3,000/-

3rd Prize: Rs. 2,000/-

The top 10 entries will receive a certificate of participation, and the top 3 entries will be featured on the Shoonya campaign’s social media pages and website.

Terms and Conditions

The competition is open to all Indian Citizens.

Entries must be original and not previously published in any print or digital media.

Selfies should not contain copyrighted or trademarked images and logos.

One participant can submit only one entry. Multiple entries from the participant shall lead to disqualification.

Once submitted for the competition, the NITI Aayog will have sole ownership of the copyrights.

Participants are encouraged to share their entries on social media channels, tag @Shoonya_India, and use the hashtag #SmileForShoonya.

However, please note that the official submission of entries will only be accepted through the MyGov website and not via MyGov or Shoonya social media channels. Only submissions received through the MyGov platform will be considered for the competition.

The participant should make sure that his/her MyGov profile is accurate and updated since this will be used for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID, and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles shall not be considered.

The entry must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and must not infringe on the intellectual rights of any third party. The NITI Aayog and MyGov are not responsible for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.

MyGov reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of this Contest and/or Terms and Conditions/Technical Parameters/Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms and Conditions/Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or the cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/posted on the MyGov platform.

The winning entries may be used by the NITI Aayog, for promotional and display purposes, IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials, and for any other use as may be deemed appropriate.

All the entries received by MyGov would be assessed by a committee of judges for selecting the entries. The decision of the Committee shall be final and binding.

The entry should not have been previously published in any print or digital media.

The winners have to share their consent to the use of their names in any publicity carried out.

The winners will be declared via the Winner announcement blog (blog.mygov.in). There will be no notification to participants not selected as winners.

Bonafide documents (proof of identity, age, address and bank details), will be required to be submitted by the winner after the announcement of the result of the Selfie Contest. Non-furnishing of the above information/documents at the appropriate stage will render the selection null and void.

The Selection Committee reserves the right to reject any entry that it does not feel is suitable or appropriate or does not conform to any of the conditions listed above.
