Applications are invited for Scholarships for Higher Education 2023-24 by Digjyoti Charitable Education Trust. The last date of application is September 30, 2023.

About Digjyoti

The orphaned and destitute comprise one of the most vulnerable sections of society. Even if they are cared for as children, they will generally miss the opportunity of receiving an education due to various reasons including lack of resources and appropriate and timely guidance.  Thus, their misery and suffering, coupled with social discrimination, make it impossible for them to break the vicious cycle of poverty, ignorance and the lack of education.

The Digjyoti Educational Trust is being instituted with the objectives set forth. It has been registered as a charitable and non-profit making institution under the provision of the Indian Trust Act.

Scholarship Details

DIGJYOTI Charitable Educational Trust invites applications from meritorious poor orphans, distressed and differently abled children for considering award of following scholarships for higher education during the academic year 2023-24.

DIGJYOTI SCHOLARSHIPS 

Rs.10,000/- per year for deserving meritorious poor children scoring not less than 90% marks in Matriculation/equivalent course and taken admission in 1st year +2/equivalent course this year. Relaxation in marks may be considered for deserving poor disabled orphans, children orphaned by death of both parents and distressed children in Orphanages. The scholarship will be continued for two years to complete the course successfully.

NEMI CHAND JAIN SCHOLARSHIPS

Rs.15,000/- per year for outstandingly meritorious candidates securing more than 90% marks both in Matriculation/ equivalent course and +2 equivalent Science/Commerce course and admitted in the 1st year 3 years Degree Course in Commerce or Science this year (preference to be given to Commerce stream in case of equivalent merit). The scholarship will be continued for three years to complete the course successfully.

DR. S.S. PRABHU SCHOLARSHIP

Rs.12,000/- per year to a highly meritorious candidate admitted in 1st year Post Graduate programme in anyone of the seven courses i.e Animal Genetics/Breeding/Production & Dairy/LPT/ Life Science/Zoology/Biotechnology provided she/he is not a recipient of any stipend/scholarship from any other sources. The Scholarship will continue for successful completion of the Course in two years.

Continuing students’ scholarships

Students receiving scholarships from the Trust last year and taken admission in next higher class/course this year, should apply in their respective Application Forms for continuance of scholarships.
