About Contest

BS Mining Corporation Pvt Ltd invites you to participate in the Temple Treasures of Odisha Photography Contest, where you can showcase your photography skills and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Odisha. Explore the lesser-known temples of Odisha and win big with your camera.

Rules and Guidelines

1. All submitted photos will have to be in jpg format and the original raw files will also need to be submitted along with the processed jpg. In case the size exceeds the mail attachment limit a download link can be sent.
2. Photos submitted without the Original RAW file will not be considered for contest.
3. Standard processing such as contrast, saturation, clarity, color grading, exposure, highlights, shadows etc, as well as limited cleaning, is allowed.
   • The use of filters and cropping is allowed. Photo stacking/stitching is allowed in case various parts of the photo are taken within the same time frame.
   • In case of any kind of stitching or stacking all individual raw files will have to be submitted.
   • Stitched photos created by stitching exposures taken on different dates or time frames are not allowed.
   • Photo manipulations such as adding or subtracting major/significant image elements or using AI generative fills are not allowed.
   • Processes such as sky substitutions or superimposition of photos from various timeframes/sources/cameras/photographers are not allowed.
4. Photos of only Odisha temples can be submitted. Temples from other states are not allowed.
5. Photos may have been taken on any date. There is no constraint for dates.
6. The photo has to be the photographer’s/contestant’s own photo. Photos downloaded from the internet or taken by anyone other than the contestant will not be considered.
7. Each jpg photo submitted for the contest will have to be a minimum of 10 megapixels. Shortlisted photos will have to be submitted in an 18-megapixel version.
8. Photos should not have any border, watermark or any visible identification mark of the photographer.
9. Winning photos will be placed in a Calendar. By participating you are agreeing to the use of your photo in the calendar. If your photo is selected for prize you will have to submit an undertaking that you have no objection to your photo being used in the calendar.
10. Each entry should be accompanied by the following information in English:
    • Title of the Photo
    • Name of photographer
    • Location and name of Temple
    • Description/caption
    • Date taken
    • Camera and lens details

Terms and Conditions

Please read the below-mentioned rules before submitting your photo(s) to the company’s contest. By participating in the contests, you understand, acknowledge and unconditionally agree to abide by the following Rules:

1. The entry submission period is from 1st November 2023 to 15th November 2023. Results will be declared on 30th November 2023.
2. All Entries will be submitted to the email id: bsmcpl.bd[at]gmail.com. Photos submitted elsewhere will not be considered.
3. There will not be any contest fee. Participation is absolutely free.
4. Each contestant can submit up to three photos.
5. There is no age limit for contestants.
6. Contestants from all over India and abroad can participate in the contest. But all contestants will have to stick to the contest theme.
7. Winning contestants will have to submit their bank details.
8. All winning contestants will be provided the prize money as well as a certificate signed by the judges. The prize money will be transferred to the contestants after the announcement of the results.
9. The certificates will be sent to the winning contestants by post/courier by 31st January 2024.
10. In case there is any change of dates, the same will be intimated through the BS Mining LinkedIn page.
11. Submitted photos must be original, created and/or taken by the contestant. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
12. All Contest participants need to clearly state in their mail that they “have no objection to their photo being printed in a company calendar to be distributed to various individuals of important social and professional standing”.
13. The decision of the judges will be final. Our Company reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is
    deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
14. By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be used by the [Company] for advertising purposes.
15. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
16. The winner will be contacted via the email address provided for entry. If no response is received within three business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
17. You are required to provide a unique title & description for each image submitted. The Company reserves the right to modify the captions/descriptions if required.
18. Every image submitted will be subject to a moderation process before it is considered for the contest. The company reserves the right to assess and disregard any submitted photo at our discretion.
19. Photos that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including provocative nudity, violence, human rights and/or environmental violation, and/or any other content deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral traditions and practices of India, are strictly prohibited and will be immediately discarded.
20. Winners will be announced on the BS Mining LinkedIn page. Individual emails will also be sent to each winner.
21. Any state/ provincial/ territorial, and/or local taxes, fee surcharges and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, including income tax) on any prize that may be awarded to You under the Contest will be solely paid by You.

• First Prize: Rs 30,000/-
• Second Prize: Rs 20,000/-
• Third Prize: Rs 10,000/-
• Nine Outstanding Mentions: Rs 3000 each.

   Product & People photography. Canon EOS Maestro & Profoto Mentor, visiting Faculty at leading design Institutes for photography.
2. Anoop Guha – A renowned fine art and fashion photographer from Kolkata, India, He Has earned accolades like the ARPS title from the Royal Photographic Society and awards for wildlife and fashion
   photography. He holds roles with Fujifilm India and Digitek, and runs the “Tollyshots Institute of Photography.”
