About Reliance Foundation

Led by Founder Chairperson Smt. Nita M Ambani, Reliance Foundation was set up in 2010 to provide impetus to various philanthropic initiatives of Reliance Industries Limited.

Scholarship Details

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships aim to support up to 5,000 meritorious students based on a merit-cum-means criteria for their undergraduate college education, empowering them to continue their studies without financial burden. The Scholarships aim to enable students to become successful professionals and realize their dreams, unlocking their potential to lift themselves and their communities up and contributing towards India’s future socio-economic development.

Students with a household income of under Rs. 15 lakh who are enrolled in first year of their undergraduate studies pursuing any subject stream can apply. The programme will also aim to encourage applications by girls and specially-abled students.

Selected scholars will receive a scholarship of up to 2 lakhs over the duration of their degree programme.  In addition to the scholarship grant, the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will provide scholars an opportunity to be part of a vibrant alumni network and an enabling support system that will create long-term impact on their lives and career trajectories.

Eligibility

Students must fulfil the following criteria in order to apply:

• Be a resident Indian citizen.
• Passed Std. 12th with minimum 60% marks.
• Currently enrolled in 1st year regular full-time degree course in any stream.
• Students having household income less than or equal to Rs. 15 lakhs (preference will be given to income less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs).

Please note that household income should only include parents and siblings.

Which students are not eligible for the scholarship?

• Students who are studying in the 2nd year or higher.
• Students pursuing their degree through online, remote, distance or any other non-regular modes.
• Students who do not answer the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test.

Is there a family income eligibility criterion to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate scholarships?

You are eligible to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships only if your family income is equal to or less than 15 lakhs.

What are the eligible institutes?

Students from any NAAC/UGC accredited institute are eligible to apply.

Is there an age limit to apply for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships?

There is no age limit to apply to the scholarship, provided you fulfil the registration criteria.

Am I eligible to apply if I have pursued a diploma after 10th Std.?

Only students who have attempted and passed Higher Secondary (H.Sc.) 12th Std. with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
