About the Organization

Organic BPS, a brand purpose consultancy based in India, launched the Greenstorm initiative in 2009 to inspire a transformative shift in behaviour towards environmental concerns. Greenstorm nurtures an intrinsic reverence for our planet through creative storytelling and captivating contests, incentivising youth to embrace ownership and responsibility for Mother Earth.

Competition Details

The Greenstorm Global Photography Festival is privileged to host an esteemed international jury, comprising trailblazers in the realm of photography and environmental storytelling. Together, this jury embodies the fusion of art, conservation, and education, embodying the ethos of the Greenstorm Foundation.

Theme

“Beautiful Landscapes” serves as a visual celebration of our planet’s diverse and captivating environments, where mountains stand tall, deserts whisper stories of resilience, water flows with grace, forests hum with life, and plains stretch as far as the eye can see. These enchanting terrains of inspiration beckon us to explore the wonders of nature and discover the extraordinary within our everyday world.

The delicate balance of our ecosystems is reflected in the beauty of landscapes. By capturing and showcasing their magnificence, they emphasize the urgent need to take action to protect them. “Beautiful Landscapes” is a reminder to reflect on the interconnectedness of all living beings and the critical role we play in safeguarding our planet’s natural heritage.

Who can Participate?

Anyone across the world. However, UNCCD, Greenstorm Foundation, Organic BPS and the jury members, and their families, cannot participate. All participants will be provided with a certificate of participation which they can display on their social media pages.

Entry Fee

Entry to the Photography Contest is free.

Rewards

The finalists (the entries shortlisted for the exhibition) and the winners will be recognised at an Online/offline Award Ceremony to be held in April 2024. Finalists will be awarded a certificate of appreciation.

Winner of Category 1 : USD 10,000 cash prize, certificate and medallion.
Runner-up in Category 1: USD 5,000 cash prize, certificate and medallion.
Second Runner-up in Category 1: USD 3,000 cash prize, certificate and medallion.
Three Special Mentions (based on jury’s assessment and public votes): USD 1,000 cash prize each, certificate and medallion.
Winner of Category 2 (decided based on jury’s assessment and public votes): USD 3,000 cash prize, certificate and medallion.
Runner-up in Category 2: USD 2,000 cash prize, certificate and medallion.
Second Runner-up in Category 2: USD 1,000 cash prize, certificate and medallion.
They also have prizes worth 3000 USD dedicated to student participants in both the Camera and Mobile categories.
