Registrations are invited for Annual Inter-School Science Quiz Contest 2023-24 by Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai. The last date of registration is August 26, 2023.

Nehru Science Centre (NSC) is the largest interactive science centre in India. It is located in Worli, Mumbai.

Contest Details

Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay Pier and the Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City is organizing the much-awaited Annual Interschool Science Quiz Competition. The written elimination test of this Quiz will be conducted on 2nd September 2023 from 10.15 am to 1.00 pm. (For English medium schools). 

The Verbal quiz rounds will be conducted for schools qualified in written test. Four schools will qualify for Final rounds which will be conducted in February 2024.

The Grand Finale and Valediction of this Annual Inter-school Science Quiz contest will be conducted in last week of February 2024.

Free.

Eligibility

• Category A: For class 5 to 7
• Category B: For class 8 to 10.

Contest Rules

• The contest will be held among school teams represented by TWO STUDENTS for each category.
• Once the names of the students are registered, no changes will be allowed in the team composition except in unavoidable circumstances that too at preliminary round stage and with prior permission.
• The contest will be conducted in Marathi/Hindi/English only.
• Questions will be based on school curricula of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Social Sciences, General Sciences as well as on logical reasoning and scientific aptitude. Awareness on current issues in science and technology and knowledge on the exhibits of the Science Centre will also be checked.

Prizes

• Winner Team: Rs. 8000
• Runner Team: Rs. 6000
• Third Prize: Rs. 8000
• Fourth Prize: Rs. 8000
